Working out your benchmark is easy, just follow these simple steps

Water use	Determine your annual water use Include all water sources - mains and alternative water sourc Write down the total amount of water you have used in the past year in kilolitres [kL]
Performance measure	Determine how best to measure your output See the For Business page for examples of practical and preferred performance measures
Benchmark	Enter this information on Water Compare to calculate your benchmark
Compare	Your benchmark will be compared to other business to help you understand your water use performance

   

When you have completed your calculation please download the fact sheet associated with your business sector.

If there is no benchmark for your business sector this is because we have not yet obtained enough data to calculate a valid benchmark.

Please contact us via the Contact Us page if you know of any agreed benchmarks for your business sector. For example, benchmarks available through a peak industry body. We welcome the opportunity to incorporate a wide range of benchmarks on Water Compare.
