ANZSIC Codes
To develop benchmarks for various industrial, commercial and institutional sectors across Australia Water Compare uses the Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC).
The classification enables the grouping of businesses carrying out similar activities.
More information about ANZSIC codes can be found at abs.gov.au/ANZSIC
Key Benchmark Activity Indicator
The Key Benchmark Activity Indicator (KBAI) can also be referred to as the Key Performance Measure. It reflects your organisation's outputs and has a relationship to how water is used in your business. Your local water authority may be able to assist you to choose the most appropriate KBAI for your business. Refer below for examples of preferred KBAIs for individual sectors.
